As designated in the Constitution of Scandian Grove Lutheran Church the following are identified as Congregation Committees.
Executive Committee: the officers of the congregation and the pastor shall constitute the Executive Committee.
Nominating Committee:
a nominating committee of six voting members of the congregation, two
of whom, if possible, shall be outgoing members of the Congregational
Council, shall be elected at the annual meeting for a term of one year.
Members of the nominating committee are not eligible for consecutive
reelection.
Auditing Committee: an auditing committee of two voting members shall be elected by the congregation. The auditing committee members shall not be members of the Congregation Council. The term of office will be two years, with one member elected each year. Members shall not be eligible for reelection.
Mutual Ministry Committee: the mutual ministry committee shall be appointed jointly by the president and the pastor. The term of office shall be two years, three members are to be appointed each successive year. Committee members will hold no other office in the congregation during their term.
Call Committee: The call committee if formed when a pastoral vacancy occurs. The committee shall be made up of six voting members and shall be elected by the congregation. The term of office will terminate at the installation of a newly-called pastor.
Other Congregation Committees: Other committees may be formed as the need arises, by decision of the Congregation Council. (See others listed above.)
